History
Developed in the Black Country from bulldog and terrier crosses, later rehabilitated as a companion breed.
Appearance
Broad-skulled and powerfully built for its height, in red, fawn, black, blue or brindle.
Exercise and activity
An hour daily including tug, fetch and training games.
Care and grooming
Minimal coat care; strong chewers need durable toys and supervision.
