Step by step

  1. Step 1

    Pair cue and reward

    Say the cue softly when the rabbit is already approaching, then place the reward on the floor.

  2. Step 2

    Add a short distance

    Give the cue from one step away and reward any movement towards you.

  3. Step 3

    Change position

    Practise from different low positions without looming or reaching.

  4. Step 4

    Use for care

    Occasionally cue the rabbit onto scales or into a pen, then release back to activity.

Troubleshooting

  • Use part of the daily ration and practise before the rabbit is full.
  • Avoid slippery floors and busy spaces.
