  • Some animals tolerate it better than milk

Risks

  • Many adult animals are lactose intolerant and get diarrhoea
  • Flavoured yogurts may contain xylitol, which is lethal to dogs
  • Adds unnecessary calories

Preparation and serving

Preparation
Use plain, unsweetened, full-fat yogurt with no added flavourings.
Serving guidance
A teaspoon to a tablespoon occasionally, depending on size.
