History
A natural landrace from eastern Turkey, brought to Britain in the 1950s; distinct from the all-white Turkish Angora.
Appearance
Large, muscular, mostly white cat with a coloured tail and head markings; takes three to five years to mature fully.
Exercise and activity
High; a powerful climber and jumper that needs space.
Care and grooming
The single cashmere coat rarely mats; seasonal shedding needs extra brushing.
